This 720-square-mile national park in Scotland is located in Loch Lomond and features several hill ranges as well as the Trossachs. Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park is the first of two national parks that were established by the Scottish Parliament back in 2002.
In the entire British isles, the national park ranks fourth in terms of total area. It also has a boundary which spans 220 miles in length. The park is popular among guests who are looking for scenery, wildlife or walking activities. The vicinity of the park includes 21 Munros, 19 Corbetts, Queen Elizabeth and Argyll forest parks and 57 designated special nature conservation sites.
About 15,600 people live in the park, divided into four sections – Loch Lomond, Breadalbane, the Trossachs and Argyll Forest Park. The Loch Lomond Shores, the national park visitor centre, is the most popular entrance to the park and also has shops, restaurants and even an aquarium.
