Established back in 1952, the 554-square-mile North York Moors National Park features three main types of landscape: the North York moors, limestone belt and the coast. The moors are where a lot of sheep can be found grazing, which helps maintain its open wild landscape. The limestone grasslands boast of a wide variety of wild flowers while the coast has an assortment of seashore habitat.
